In this article i’m going to explain how to install MacOS Sequoia after getting an Auto-Upgrade notification from Apple Store. First and the foremost thing Check Your System Compatibility Before proceeding, make sure your Mac is compatible with macOS Sequoia. Visit Apple’s official website to check the list of supported devices.

- Open System Preferences > Time Machine.
- Select Backup Disk and choose your external storage.
- Click Back Up Now to start the process.
- Start the Installation Process After receiving the auto-upgrade notification:
- Open the Apple Store from the notification or search for macOS Sequoia directly in the App Store.
- Click Upgrade Now or Download to begin downloading macOS Sequoia.
- Wait for the Download to Complete macOS Sequoia is a large update, so depending on your internet connection, it may take some time. Ensure you have a stable connection and your Mac is plugged into a power source to avoid interruption.
- Initiate the Installation Once the download is complete:
- You will see a pop-up window asking you to begin the installation.
- Click Continue to start.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to agree to terms and select the disk where you want to install macOS Sequoia.
- Click Install to proceed.
- Complete the Installation Your Mac will restart several times during the installation process. Make sure it remains plugged in and don’t force shut down the computer during this time.
- Set Up macOS Sequoia After the installation completes, your Mac will boot into the new macOS Sequoia welcome screen.
- Follow the prompts to set up your preferences such as language, Wi-Fi, and iCloud settings.
- You can restore from your Time Machine backup if needed, or choose to set up the Mac as new.
- Enjoy macOS Sequoia! Once setup is complete, you can explore all the new features of macOS Sequoia, such as improved multitasking, redesigned apps, and enhanced privacy features.
