Gaming on Mac takes a leap forward with a wealth of new titles like Assassin’s Creed Shadows and Frostpunk 2. The introduction of the Game Porting Toolkit 2 and Personalised Spatial Audio delivers a more immersive gaming experience, leveraging Apple’s Metal API for superior performance and visuals.

A new Passwords app, built on Keychain, offers a robust password management system, integrating seamlessly across Apple devices and Windows, ensuring secure, encrypted access to credentials.

macOS Sequoia also introduces Apple Intelligence, a personal AI system deeply integrated across Apple’s platforms. It powers new writing and image tools, including a sophisticated text editing suite and the playful Image Playground for creative image generation. With enhanced privacy features, this system uses both on-device and server-based processing to handle tasks without compromising user data.

Additional features include enhanced note-taking with audio transcription in Notes, new organizational tools in Photos, offline-ready Apple Maps with curated hikes, and a smarter Calendar that integrates events and tasks for streamlined daily planning.
