The Fantastic Four: First Steps

One of the standout announcements was the updated title and setting for “The Fantastic Four,” now officially called “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” This film, which promises to be a major addition to the MCU, will transport viewers to a retro-future version of the 1960s. Early footage depicted Mr. Fantastic leading a science program and The Thing participating in a dating show. The star-studded cast includes Pedro Pascal, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Joseph Quinn, and Vanessa Kirby. The film is set to premiere on July 25, 2025.

Joseph Quinn, who plays one of the lead roles, emphasized the importance of teamwork in the film: “I think we’re all collectively gonna bring an essence that is a family rather than thinking about what we individually are gonna bring. It’s a team sport.”

Robert Downey Jr. as Doctor Doom

In a surprising twist, it was revealed that Robert Downey Jr. will return to the MCU, but not as Iron Man. Instead, he will take on the role of Doctor Doom, one of Marvel’s most iconic villains. Downey Jr. expressed his enthusiasm for the role, stating, “New mask, same task. What can I tell ya? I like playing complicated characters.” His involvement in future MCU films, including “Avengers 5,” is highly anticipated.
