Republic Day, celebrated annually on January 26, marks India’s 1950 transition into a sovereign republic. The main event, a grand parade at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, displays India’s cultural and military might. The 2024 celebrations, marking the 75th anniversary, will notably feature two all-women defence force contingents.
